Job Description
Your job for the whole of July will be split into 2.
> First 2 weeks of July:
Monday to Friday (work from 4pm-8pm):
- In this first half of July, Mia will be attending nursery.
- Once Mia arrives from nursery, you help her change from school uniform, help her wash her hands, accompany her for food, spend time with her (eg playing, reading books, drawing, telling her stories, going to the park with her etc).
- 1 hour a day spent on reading books and writing the alphabet with her would be great.
- You don't have to worry about picking her up from nursery, or cooking, or bathing her, or putting her to sleep etc (that will be my job).
- Dinner is usually at 7:30pm, you are very welcome to eat with us! Mia usually eats slightly earlier (it would be great for you to accompany her so you can encourage her to finish her food as she is a slow eater, as well as tidying up after her food).
- I will be around to help if needed!
Saturday (work from 10am-2pm):
- No need to take care of Mia (I will take over).
- Your job will be to "hang out" with Laura (speak to her only in French). Keep in mind, she will try to talk you out of it, as a stubborn 16 year old would!
- Laura has French lessons in school, so it's good for her to practice before school starts again in September.
- As "hanging out", you can go on dog walks with her, light housework with her (eg unloading dishes, cleaning table, dusting), you can go shopping together, go to central London together, and she also enjoys doing nails at home (acrylics, gel and shellac). Feel free to spend this time with her however you want, but all in French!
Sunday (no work):
- The whole of Sunday is your free time, so spend it however you would like.
-------------------------
> Last 2 weeks of July:
Monday to Friday (work from 9am-2pm):
- In this second half of July, Mia will be finished with nursery and at home.
- You will have to spend time with her (eg playing, reading books, drawing, telling her stories, going to the park with her etc).
- Reading or writing/drawing 1 hour a day would be great.
- For lunch, you will accompany her as she eats (you can eat along with her, whether you would like to eat our food or your own).
- Light housework (eg tidying up after her meals, tidying up her toys, unloading dishwasher) would be great.
Saturday (work from 10am-2pm):
- Your job on Saturday is the same as the last 2 weeks (hanging out with Laura to speak French).
Sunday (no work):
- The whole of Sunday is your free time, so spend it however you would like.
-------------------------
More information:
- For the whole of July, you will be paid £300 (it can be split into a weekly payment if you like).
- You will be treated like our family member: we welcome you to all meals, and to help yourself to our groceries and food that I cook (if you have different food preferences, there are many supermarkets nearby and you are welcome to use the kitchen whenever).
- This is a flexible schedule, so if one week you prefer to work with Mia on Sunday instead of a weekday, just let me know and we can switch the days.
- Dad and I are originally from Poland, but all 3 daughters were born and raised in London, so of course we speak fluent English in our household. When working with Mia, you will only need a basic knowledge of English when communicating with her. With Laura, being a native French Au Pair is preferred.
- This job doesn't require an Au Pair who has a degree, just someone who is responsible, creative and playful with Mia. It's a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants to explore London, as the working hours are not long, leaving lots of time for tourism!
- We are looking for Au Pairs who won't smoke/drink/go clubbing.
