Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a young, friendly and open-minded family who is willing to share our house with you.

We are looking for someone who is kind and loves children and who will care for our twins and house the same way we do, while being a sister/friend to us.

I’m 36 and hubby is 39years old. We have twins, a boy and a girl aged 7months as at February 2025.

We live in Peterborough (an average size city) with the bus station a 3mins walk from the house with easy access to the city Center, train station, malls and all around town in less than 20minutes. We are also an 8mins drive /18 minutes bus to the train station with 45mins train to London King’s Cross .
Theres a good sized mall less than a 10mins walk from the house.
There are also about 3 colleges nearby offering English language to foreign speakers if interested.

Job Description

You will be required to look after the children while we are at work. This including feeding the children, washing bottles, changing them , helping with their laundry and taking them on walks. You will also need to keep your room space and communal areas tidy.
We require about 45hours a week and we are flexible on start times. Although you will need to be available most days from 8/9am. As we are physicians and do shift work you might occasionally have to look at the kids late periods e.g put the kids to bed and check on them if any concerns before the morning but you will be notified at least 2 weeks in advance .
On your off days (at least 2 a week- which could be more based on our schedule) , we will encourage you to explore and see the country but if you do want to hang out with us and our friends, you will be more than welcome to as you are considered family.

Accommodation

We live in a comfortable 4 bedroom home with modern appliances .
The Aupair will have a single room which is on the same floor as other bedrooms. A comfortable bed, personal wardrobe, side table with drawers provided You will share bathroom with just the babies unless a guest comes . There’s a downstairs cloakroom if need be.
The kitchen and living room are on the ground floor , you are welcome to using this spaces .
