Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are a family of 3 me and my 1,5 year old baby girl daughter Melody (born 13th of Sep 2025) living in Poznan, Poland and Melody's father living in Germany and coming to visit her as we are separated. There are also my parents - Melody's grandparents living close by and playing a big part of our life.

We are living in the central location of Poznan city in the new residential area. Our apartment is 80m2 and everything is very close: shops, restaurants, cafes, biggest shopping mall in the city just 7 min away, facilities like pool, gyms, 5 min away is a lake (great for running, bike, walks or other sports), just close by there is one of the biggest aquapark's in Poland. There are many events going on in the city which we also are attending together with Melody, you can always find something of your interest. Basically you can enjoy living in one of the biggest cities in Poland with its vibrant and lively social life (it is very much a student city, with a lot of students from around the world and Erasmus coming to study in Poznan).

Our family, me and Melody's father we are different nationalities, I am Polish and he is Turkish so we are international family. I also used to live abroad a lot since I started my studies like Mexico, Spain, Turkey or Ireland and I am in love with multicultural environment and this is something I would like to teach my daughter and the reason I would like the au-pair to join us. Also I would like to surround her with other languages like English and maybe another one you speak.

Job Description

Melody is going to daycare every day from 9-14.30 (which is just downstairs of our building). I am looking for someone to spend time with her up to 2-4h per day doing some active and educative games and plays or some days like Friday's to take care of her instead of going to the daycare. You might also go with her for some classes for toddlers, like sensory or music classes. During a day while she is in a daycare you would do some very light house chores like light cleaning or shopping maybe help with cooking.

We are trying to raise our daughter based on the Montessori and nonviolent communication principles. If you have any experience with that it would be great but do not worry those are all things you can learn from us me as well ;)

I am also currently working in Dublin and traveling from time to time so you might be traveling together with me and my daughter to Dublin for couple of days or staying with my mom in Poznan. I really like to travel so I am happy to take you to different places also for vacation if you would like to join.

Accommodation

You will have your own room and you are very welcome to spend time with me our my family in the shared space like living room or big tarrace. The bathroom is shared.
