Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi folks,

We are currently a family of 2 plus many animals, but soon to be 3+! We both work for our own business and with upkeep of the animals etc we are already pushed for time. So with the arrival of a baby we will be struggling all around. So we have decided to explore the opportunity of having an au pair live with us.
We live on a very small farm with a bit of woodland on the outskirts of Leicester, which is pretty much in the centre of England.
We have 2 dogs, 3 horses, 2 pet pigs, a few sheep, chickens roaming around the place, cats and Bees!
It sometimes feels like being in the middle of nowhere but a ten minute walk gets you to the end of the driveway where there is a bus stop which bounces between Leicester and Hinckley on the hour. It takes about 30mins to get to Leicester City via bus. 20mins in the car, approx 8 miles.
We work hard during the week and then try and enjoy weekends but this may obviously change in the not too distant future.

Job Description

This will be our first Au pair experience so its hard to say how we will all find our rolls. We have had a Ukrainian living with us recently so are used to having another person around. But this will be different as hopefully you will be looking to become part of the family and help out. I presume we will adjust and so will you and find a suitable path.. Alternatively you may bring experience with newborns and help guide the way. Or you maybe hyper organised and we learn skills we should already possess!
It would be useful if you have experience with newborns as we don't yet!
Help out around the house, help with cooking, help with animals, etc.
We are unlikely to have extremely defined roles it will more likely be a case of just getting on and joining in. Obviously the Au pair will need time to do their thing which won't be an issue. Its just about communication.

Accommodation

Old farm house that was built in 1800 so don't expect a modern property and rooms aren't huge. Lots of space outside though. We are modernising to some degree. We are based in the national forest so woodland all around.
Obviously you will have your own room with locks, wifi, tv. Probably sole use of a bathroom. Prefer to eat together when you're at home.
