Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair,

Welcome to our family! We are very excited about having you join us here in Ravensburg, a beautiful town located near the stunning Lake Constance (Bodensee).

Let us introduce ourselves: we are an international couple — I am from Bolivia and my husband is German. We recently welcomed our baby daughter, who is now 3 months old. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors, going hiking, visiting the lake, playing guitar, and cooking together. We love simple, joyful moments and value cultural exchange, which is why we’re looking forward to sharing this experience with you.

We live in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The city center is just a 15-minute walk from our home, and you can also get there by bus if you prefer. The nearest bus stop is only 5 minutes away on foot, and the train station is about 15 minutes away walking — or a short ride by bus.

There are several language schools in the city center, so it will be easy for you to find a suitable course if you’re interested in improving your German during your stay.

We truly hope you will feel at home with us and enjoy your time in Germany. We look forward to getting to know you and building a positive and respectful relationship together.

Job Description

We are looking for an au pair to support us in our daily life with our baby and household tasks. I am currently a stay-at-home mum, and my husband works full-time. Since I will be home during the day, I will take care of the baby for several hours, but we are looking for someone who can assist with household chores and, also help care for the baby.

Your responsibilities will include:

Helping with household chores such as:

Preparing or assisting with breakfast and lunch

Doing laundry

Cleaning the kitchen and bathroom

Playing and interacting with our baby in a gentle and caring way

Taking care of the baby.

We are looking for someone responsible, kind, and flexible, who enjoys spending time with babies and is happy to help out with daily tasks. Some experience with infants is very welcome.

We speak both German and Spanish at home, and would be happy to support you in learning the local language. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the area, join a language course, and enjoy your time with us in Ravensburg.

The au pair will have her own private room in our home. The bathroom is shared with the family, but we have a separate toilet, which offers more flexibility and comfort.

Our home has high-speed WiFi, which the au pair can use freely.
