Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello from Ruislip in the suburbs of London. We are a family of 4 - Mum, Dad, and two boys (will be age 6 and 3). Dad travels often for work, so spends several days a week away, and mum works full time. We would love to welcome someone into our family to help mum whilst Dad is away.
Ruislip is a leafy suburb of London. We also have a London Underground station 7 minutes walk away - from there the Central line is direct to Oxford Street, central London in just over 30 minutes.

Job Description

We need help with childcare when dad is away (but you will have the time off when dad is home).

This will include school/nursery drop-offs and pickups during the week, childcare at weekends when dad is away, and occasional babysitting when mum is working late. Because dad's work schedule is variable, some flexibility will be required. In a normal week, dad is away 2-3 weekdays and a weekend day, although occasionally he will be away both days at the weekend (but not every weekend!). Tasks will include helping prepare basic meals and tidying after the children.

There will be plenty of free time during the day as both boys are in school or nursery 5 days a week. You will also have at least 6 weeks of holiday per year, with plenty of advance notice. Ideally you will be able and willing to drive - it will make life a lot easier.

We ask that you only get in touch or apply if you are able to join us in England with any visa arrangement you have. Unfortunately, there are no ways to sponsor a visa for an au pair. Thank you.

Accommodation

We live in a modern house with a small garden. You will have your own room downstairs (away from kids and parents upstairs), and there is a separate new bathroom downstairs which will be shared. We have fast wi-fi and the house is very conveniently located for travel to Central London.
