Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear au pair,

We are a young family with two fantastic, lovely, cheerful twin daughters - Maya and Olivia, born in July 2022. As we both have full time jobs, we would greatly appreciate your help with raising our kids when they are not in day care and helping us out around the house! We have hosted an au pair from Kenya before for one year and are looking now for someone to take over her responsibilities when she returns back home.

We hope you will truly be able to become a friend to us and a big sister to our girls! At the same time we will do our best to let you experience our country and its culture.

Job Description

Our daily routine!
As the girls go to daycare two days a week, we expect help during the remaining three working days when we are working ourselves (either at home or in the office). Sometimes we also would like some help during the weekend and also ask you to perform some light household duties. As the girls are still very young, their daily routine can change. Flexibility is therefore very important to us!!

Tasks and schedule!
Taking care of the kids from approximately 8/9am to 17/18pm , including going for walks, games, activities, preparing their food and feeding them. During off times , doing some very light cleaning of the kids’ rooms and minor other household chores.

Accommodation

We live in a modern villa in the Vroondaal region of The Hague, which is a new area with a lot of children and young families. The area is very accessible by public transport and if you want, we can also provide a bicycle. The au pair will have her own room on the top floor , complete with your own bathroom facilities. There is plenty of space for everyone !

The Hague is a large, vibrant city on the sea coast of the Netherlands. It is in close proximity to other large cities, such as Rotterdam and Amsterdam and offers a very large expat community covering many backgrounds and nationalities.
