Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi there future family member!

We are excited at the prospect of having you become a trusted member of our family. We are active and happy family based out of Mallorca, Spain. We live in one of the central towns away from Palma, providing a far more relaxed life with great walks, runs, and cycling routes all around us. We also have a protected marshland filled with bird life and a great place to watch sunsets. The Trumantana mountain range is very clearly visible providing great views and we have an excellent ring road around the town for morning/evening walks, it is 5km around

There are gyms/bars/bakeries and supermarkets all around town all withing 5-10 min walking distance. the city centre is maybe 8min walk from the house

Trains and busses are available from a 5 min walk from the house to all parts of the island

The sea is 15 min away by car and 30 min by bus to a very nice town filled with history and an amazing fort

We also have a language school right next to our kids school (10 min walk), where there is a public access pool, tennis court,football field and sports bar (with great food)

there is a padel and crossfit gym 15 min walk away from the house as well

We are extremely family orientated, with an emphasis in group activities and family fun. We don't have a TV, but do watch nexflix and such. We prefer experiences over ipads. We prefer our kids to not be entertained with screens at this young age so keep them well away. Wifi is available in the house as well

We also have 2 chickens, some fish and a cat!

Job Description

We are looking for someone who help with cooking, cleaning and laundry as well as the obvious help with the kids. The whole family is involved, and we hope to integrate you as family as well

this includes taking our eldest to school and fetching him when we are unavailable. taking him to sports or music in the town. If you are trained, helping with the early stimulation and education of our youngest. He is also very young so the general baby duties of helping change and look after him is expected

Mom is very involved in all said duties but will need help

We also require to help keep the kids in time with their schedules and chores list, we try make it fun but also important. Keeping them clean and also entertaining their curiosity and sense of adventure

We would prefer you to be updated with childcare and first aid.

We would like someone who communicates respectfully (respectful parenting for reference) with our children, caring about their thoughts and feelings, but someone who is also stern and does not allow disrespectful or hurtful behaviour
