Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Potential Au Pair,

We are excited to invite you to consider becoming an extended member of our family as we navigate a unique season in our lives. Our family lives in Sacramento, California, and includes three wonderful children: We are located 10 minutes from the city center and close to the all the main attractions.

Our 3-year-old son, a curious and energetic little boy who loves exploring the world.
Our 7-year-old daughter, a bright and creative spirit who courageously manages her type 1 diabetes.
Our 10-year-old daughter, a kind and thoughtful young lady who loves soccer and enjoys reading, crafts, and outdoor adventures.
We also share our home with a friendly Siamese cat who loves attention!

We’re seeking someone who is warm, responsible, and eager to immerse themselves in our daily life for the next 6 to 12 months. My wife is recovering from knee surgery, and having an Au Pair will be a tremendous support during this time. Your main responsibilities would include:

Driving our children to and from school each day.
Occasionally driving our 10-year-old daughter to her soccer practices.
Helping to create a stable, loving environment in our home.
We hope to find someone who values being part of a family, sharing meals, and enjoying meaningful moments together. In return, we’ll provide a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, along with the opportunity to experience life in beautiful Sacramento, California.

Job Description

Mom is undergoing knee surgery in February and will be unable to perform many of her usual duties. During this 6-12 month period, we are looking for an Au Pair who can assist us with the following:

- Getting the kids ready and driving them to school in the morning
- Picking up the kids from school in the afternoon
- Spending meaningful time with the kids in the afternoon until we get home for dinner
- Occasionally babysitting in the evenings when we need to work late or run errands

Au Pair will have their own bedroom. They will share bathroom with other household members as we have 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We will take care of meals for the Au Pair and make them feel like they are an extended member of the family.
