Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi there!

We are very excited to welcome an Au Pair into our home. My name is Alicia and my husband is Dean. We live just south of Perth in Western Australia. Our daughter Matilda is 10. We also have a dog named Ralph. He is a cavoodle and very much part of the family. I am a registered nurse and work on a rotating roster four days a week. Dean is a manager, and his job requires him to travel to Karratha, a little over 1500km north of Perth on a regular basis. We are looking for someone who can help support our family by being a positive role model to Matilda and be available for her when we are working.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Job Description

The primary role of our Au Pair will be to oversee and assist in Matilda ready and off to school in the mornings and collect her from school in the afternoons, which requires them to have a driver's licence and confidence/experience driving in a suburban area. The position will vary slightly depending on my shift. For example, if I am working an afternoon shift, I do not return to the house until late in the evening, and your job on these days will be to collect Matilda from school, complete homework with her, prepare her dinner and get her into bed. There will be plenty of time for me to sit and plan a schedule with our Au Pair as I have my roster one month in advance, so they will always be up to date with when they are required to work.

As our rosters are flexible and tend to change often, there will be roughly two weeks (not consecutive) of free time for our Au Pair per month as there will be times when Dean is home and has time off work, and the same for myself. We welcome you to join in on family and friend activities during your free time, but we also understand that the amount of free time is an excellent opportunity for you to travel and see the beautiful sights of Western Australia.

I would love to hear from you if you think this is the perfect fit and opportunity for you and share a more detailed insight into our family and life here in Western Australia.
