Dear au pair candidate,
We are Valérie and Jonathan, both 40 years old, engineers by profession, dynamic and open-minded. Our level of English is intermediate (B1), and we are eager to perfect our mastery of this language with your help. We have two adorable twin daughters of 7.5 years old, Noélie and Anaïs. Curious, creative and full of energy, they love playing outdoors, tinkering and inventing a thousand and one stories. They are endearing children, full of joy of life.
As a family, we love sports (running, hiking, swimming) and also appreciate evenings with friends, board games, and moments in the great outdoors. If you are a musician, know that we have an upright piano available in our living room, ready to welcome melodies.
We live in Corrèze, a region where natural beauty blends with cultural heritage. Here you will find picturesque villages like Collonges-la-Rouge, hiking trails in green landscapes, as well as many lively country markets. Brive-la-Gaillarde, our neighboring city, is a dynamic city with shops, restaurants, cinemas, and a rich cultural life. In the summer, Brive hosts the Brive Festival, a major event that attracts more than 10,000 people over three consecutive days for spectacular concerts. The city also offers many other concerts, festivals, as well as bars and nightclubs for those who like to go out and party. The region is well served by transport: bus network, train station and even an airport nearby. In addition to this, we undertake to accompany you by car if necessary, or even to visit cities further away like Bordeaux or Toulouse.
Our house is spacious, recent and offers a pleasant living environment with a large garden. You will have your own room, spacious and equipped with a television (with access to Netflix and Amazon Prime), a large closet to store your belongings and unlimited internet access. The garden includes an enclosure for our chickens and goats (without the need for you to take care of them), a pétanque court, a trampoline, a children's play area and a terrace with an inflatable jacuzzi and deckchairs to relax in the sun.
Your participation with our girls will be 3 days a week, according to a schedule that we will define together to ensure that everything goes as well as possible, with respect for everyone. There is no particular constraint, except to play, laugh, create and share beautiful moments with them. No household chores will be asked of you.
We want you to feel fully integrated into our family and to be able to appropriate our culture while sharing yours. You will of course have free time to discover the region at your leisure, but you will always be welcome to join our outings: evenings with friends, walks, visits to the surrounding area, cinema, local markets or sports activities. Our priority is that you feel as good as possible among us.
