Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Originally translated from Français
Hello, we are looking for our future au pair. We will only consider applications from those who are already au pairs in Europe with at least several months of experience as a successful au pair. That is to say that the family will agree to tell us about them.
To understand each other, she would have to either speak French correctly or very good English and a little French. We only speak French at home but my husband works in English and our son was in a bilingual school for 2 years, I have a school level of English.
We need someone who has experience with young children because my daughter is 2 years old and boys, because my son can be unruly and tests the person as he is 4 years old. So we need someone patient, confident and firm while being gentle. We try to practice positive education with a framework and rules of course, even if I sometimes shout. It is not a question of accepting violence or other negative behavior, just being flexible or giving the child the illusion that he has choices, or calming a crisis by distracting her with another subject or using humor.
The imperative qualities: responsible (that I know the children are safe with her), resourceful (practical sense), self-control (in case of danger, unforeseen events), orderly (I like things to be tidy) and clean, hardworking, flexible, sincere and honest, that we can talk together when something is wrong in order to find a solution. That she loves animals and agrees to walk our dog.
Which would be a plus but is not prohibitive (you can't have everything in one person): good cook (I'm a little tired of always preparing meals and looking for ideas on how to get children to eat vegetables), funny (we really like humor in our house), creative (I'm not very good at manual activities for children myself, so this would be a plus that would compensate for my weakness)
She will be very well received. We are warm, caring and fair people. We can put her in touch with former nannies.

Job Description

Originally translated from Français
My situation is special since I am a stay-at-home mom and Mila is small and looked after at home, so I need someone flexible who can live in harmony with me. We will build the schedule together according to the needs of each. For my part, I need to do my sports sessions 3 times a week and about 10 hours to work on my courses. I have resumed a BTS in dietetics remotely. I also want to have some time for myself and be able to have quality time with my children rather than running around all the time or for example, to spend a Wednesday afternoon alone with Sacha.
So there are times when the au pair will have the children alone and others when we will be in pairs.afternoon or evening.
I will take into account her class schedule. I am also ready to help her find her French classes and help her progress.
What is certain is that she will have time off: Friday until 4pm (I looked after a nanny on Friday morning), Saturday entirely and Sunday until 4pm (I will need her about 3 Sundays per month from 4pm to 7pm because my partner takes Taline far away and sometimes needs to work in the afternoon too) but I can release her if she needs a weekend. The hourly volume excluding holidays or unforeseen events will be 25 to 30 hours (including about 15 hours alone) plus 1 or 2 babysittings per week rarely late and very exceptionally on Saturday since Taline who is there 3 weekends out of 4 can do it. She will have 500E of pocket agent all included (insurance, transport or other will be deducted if we have to advance them). What could be the subject of additional money will be the exceptional surplus that we could not compensate in time if I have to do an internship as part of my BTS (in particular 2 weeks at the end of September), if she has to work a weekend or if I am sick but not when we go on vacation. Most mornings, except Friday, I will take Sacha to school while she walks OuiOui with Mila and then do some tasks like folding laundry (she has to know how to do it well), running a machine, emptying the dishwasher, washing bottles, vacuuming, preparing food... it all depends on the need of the moment and the imperative of that morning: if I have an appointment, sports or if she has class... At lunchtime we eat together or not, the afternoon is certainly free until 4 p.m. On Wednesday she will often only have Mila because I would like to offer Sacha some time just the two of us. We can also do something nice together or she may need her afternoon. This is why the schedule will have to be built together in good faith. I would like someone who is also happy to spend some time with us outside of her working hours as is the basic principle of an au pair. I would enjoy teaching her things about the culture and also getting to know hers. I have no family in the city and my partner cannot take time off work even if I am very sick so I need someone who can take over with the children if necessary, even if she has to not go to class for that. It only happened once last year. Also, as part of my return to studies I will have 2 weeks of internship to do at the end of September this year, so the au pair would have to be able to replace me with the children. I will take a nanny during the time she has classes and we will be able to compensate for this full time in additional time off or money, but we will not pay each additional hour as if we were using a nanny. We would also like perhaps twice a year for her to agree to look after the children and OuiOui with the help of their grandmother so that we can have a romantic weekend. This will also be subject to compensation. We are fair and equitable people, we want to find someone who does not abuse our kindness as we will not abuse our side either. On the other hand, an au pair who is strict about her hours will not work. She could also have holidays without us planned in advance so that I can organize myself.

Accommodation

Originally translated from Français
We have two apartments of 90 m2 each in the same residence, only a few meters apart. One has 2 bedrooms and where we live with my partner and our 2 children. The other apartment also has 2 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, even a small dishwasher and there will be shopping available that we will do every week, the back kitchen with a washing machine and dryer, a large living room with a WiFi TV, board games... and is used to receive her older children. The au pair will stay in this second apartment. Her room is approximately 12 m2 with everything she needs: built-in cupboards... She can decorate it as she wishes. We provide sheets and towels. The bathroom is large with a shower and bathtub, she can use the products available and will only have to buy her special products. She will have it to herself 80% of the time, and will have to share it with Taline 3 weekends out of 4 and during the holidays and Fantin when he comes. She will have to maintain this apartment that she will occupy mostly alone (the products will be provided) except Taline's room and if the older ones have spent time there, especially during the holidays, we will have our cleaning lady come by to compensate for what comes from them. We would still like there to be time to share, especially around certain meals and which is not counted as working time. We can also lend him a bike and everything is accessible on foot or easily by transport. We live 10 minutes walk from the city center of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and 7 minutes walk from the RER A which allows you to reach the center of Paris in 30 minutes. It is one of the most pleasant cities in the Parisian suburbs, with a magnificent historic center all in stone with all the necessary shops. It has a very beautiful castle where Louis XIV was born with a park and a view of the Eiffel Tower. Our residence gives direct access to the forest and right next to the swimming pool.
