Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello!

We are a family of four looking for an au pair to help with our two children. Willa is almost 4 years old and currently in pre-school but we occasionally need help with pick up and drop off. Luke is almost 12 months old and we need full time care before he goes to daycare.

We live in San Francisco in the Castro. We're about a 5 minute walk to the train station and about a 10m train ride into downtown San Francisco. We have lots of parks and restaurants nearby.

We would love to find an au pair who can speak a different language with our children (preferably Spanish but open to others). We live in an apartment building where we would live in the upstairs unit and the au pair would live in the downstairs unit. The downstairs unit has two bedrooms, a kitchen, living room, bathroom, deck, etc. We would sometimes need to use one of the downstairs bedrooms as an office but otherwise you would have complete privacy.

Job Description

We'd like to find an au pair who is cheerful, fun, and likes small children! Bonus if you speak Spanish or French but okay if not.

In terms of experience, we'd prefer someone who has some experiencing caring for a baby but are open to those who do not. We require CPR training but we don't require any other specific skills. It's okay if you don't drive.

In terms of scheduling -- we typically need about 40 hours of help but have a bit of flexibility on Wednesday and Fridays if you need to take classes.
