Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Future Au Pair,

We are looking for a SPANISH SPEAKING person with a DRIVER'S LICENSE. We are a family of three, soon to be four. After 15 years of living in the heart of Berlin, we have moved to the beautiful island of Mallorca. Alex and I are filmmakers (writers and directors) and passionate about our work

Our son, Nael Noé, was born in November 2019. He is a curious, sensitive, and adventurous 4 1/2-year-old, and we feel very blessed to have him and we are expecting our second son in January. We are looking for someone to help us make our sons feel safe and to assist with household duties.

We live in the heart of Mallorca, in the charming town of Santa Eugenia. It’s a fantastic location, just a 15-minute drive from the vibrant city of Palma, which offers numerous cafés, restaurants, yoga studios, language schools, bookstores, and music schools.

Job Description

It's important to us that Spanish is your mother language and ideally you're comfortable with English as well.
We'll also need your help with preparing simple meals, picking up groceries, and handling basic kitchen tasks and helping with the kids' laundry. We expect that you're curious, mindful, caring, and loving with our boys. Since they're at different ages and stages, you'll mostly be spending time with one of them. When spending time with them, it is all about chatting, playing, reading, or taking walks or small excursions with one of them. Whether you're working weekdays or occasional weekends, we'll make sure you have plenty of downtime to relax. We'll be there to support you every step of the way!

In addition to providing accommodation and meals, we'll cover a language course, health insurance and provide you with 300 Euros monthly pocket money. You'll also have access to our car and it is crucial for us that you have a driver's license and that you are a regular driver.

Accommodation

We are moving into a beautiful finca in November with a lovely garden and pool. We can offer you either a smaller room with your own ensuite bathroom and direct access to the garden and pool, or a slightly larger room with a bathroom downstairs, which also serves as the guest toilet/bathroom in the house.
