Hello!
We are Raluca, Jonas and baby Vanya living in the countryside of Salaj County, Transylvania, Romania.
Our main occupation is farming and cheese making, living as sustainable and ecological as possible and enjoying a simple, yet fulfilling life. We have goats, chickens, a donkey, we are also gardening and experimenting with grains.
Even if our village is small, the community is friendly and active and together we organise local events, fundraisings, dance balls, so we can enjoy some social and cultural life.
Homesteading requires a lot of work, so we are also hosting WWOOF volunteers to help with our projects, but in order to keep up with it, we would need some support with the baby.
The environment is multi cultural and open: the villagers are from the Hungarian minority coexisting with Romanians and rroma people, Jonas is Belgium (that is why we speak English at home), plus international volunteers, so we hope our home will be an exciting Au pair option.
