Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello!
My husband and I have recently started our own family and have a wonderful baby boy born in May, 2024.
Before having a family we traveled all over the world together. We met in Vietnam, lived together there and in Malaysia, and have also lived in England (which is where my husband is from). We would love to welcome an au pair into our home to help with childcare but also because we really value cultural exchanges.
We live on a farm in upstate New York. We are two hours from New York City. There is a bus nearby (20 min drive) that can take you into the city for the day or weekend. we are a 15 minute drive from the town of woodstock and the town of saugerties. Both are very cute towns but it is definitely important that whoever is staying with us is able to drive so that they can access these towns during their time off. There isn't anywhere that is walking or biking distance from our house.
It is also important to know that the winters here get cold. It is always very beautiful and there is good skiing nearby but if you don't like the cold, it might not be the right place for you.

Job Description

Our hour commitments aren't super high. We both work from home and love to spend time with the baby but we need someone who can look after him while we are both in a meeting at the same time. We'd also really love help with food preparation as neither of us really love to cook.

Accommodation

There is wifi in the home.
The room is on the ground floor of the house, the only other thing on that floor is the laundry room. There is a toilet and sink in the laundry room but no shower. The au pair will have to use the shower upstairs which is in a shared bathroom.
The room is about 12 ft by 12 ft. It has a sliding glass door that opens into the front yard with a beautiful view and lots of light but also has curtains for privacy.
