Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

We are looking for an AuPair for our small family for the period from July/August 2025 to July/August 2026.
We live in a big house in Switzerland in the district of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. We live in the countryside, the bus stop is only 5 minutes from our house and in 30 minutes you can reach the city of St. Gallen by public transport. Zurich is 1.5 hours away.
It is important to us that you have experience with dogs and can organise your day independently. We have had au pairs from South Africa, Denmark, Spain, Bulgaria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania and Poland with us over the last twelve years.
We pay a net salary (payout) of CHF 800. We also cover the travelling costs to and from the host country. We also cover the German course (CHF 225.-/month), health insurance and accident insurance (approx. CHF 400.-/month).

The au pairs are part of our family. We still have good contacts with our AuPairs and can be asked for as references. For legal reasons, please only candidates from the EU. We are looking for an AuPair between 20 and 29 years old who has already gained work experience. Experience with dogs is also very important to us. We look forward to receiving your application and hope to meet you soon.

Statement from our AuPair 2018/2019 Mirela from Poland:
We had a wonderful year together. The host family is already like my own family. If I had to make the decision again, I would do it again without a doubt. What do I love Switzerland for? All in all - a dream host family, wonderful people and the beauty of nature. For beautiful landscapes, the best chocolate and cheese and the opportunity to drink top quality water (from the tap).
_______
Statement from our AuPair 2016/2017 Aneta from the Czech Republic:
It was a great year. I got to know so many Swiss customs, food and drink and its beautiful landscapes. I was also able to do a lot of travelling either with the family or alone, go to many parties and meet new friends. Perfect for dogs and outdoor lovers!

_______
Statement from our AuPair 2015/2016 Judit from Hungary :
Taking this opportunity was definitely the best decision of my life. I still remember how amazed I was when I saw the beautiful surroundings of my new home for the first time. We got on really well with the family and Luna, they are really nice people with whom I had a great chance to discover Switzerland, go on great tours, hike, cook and bake together. In the afternoon, when I was done with my tasks, I could easily go jogging on the nearby hill. As a cross-country runner, this landscape was just perfect to test my limits. In addition to the language school in St.Gallen, there was also very good German and I made great new friends there. As I am still working and living in Switzerland, I am very grateful that I got the perfect start and 100% self-support for a new life.

_______
Statement from our AuPair 2014/2015 Maria from Bulgaria:
I had one of the best years of my life and I really mean it! The nature is beautiful, the people are nice and I like the Swiss lifestyle. I am happy that I had the opportunity to be part of such a lovely family and spend time with Luna. I enjoyed every day there!
