Let us introduce ourselves: I am Carla, and I live here with my four-year-old child, Tiago. We are looking forward to having you as part of our daily life, and we hope you will feel at home with us.

About Our Home and Setién
We live in Setién, a quiet and charming village located just outside Santander, in northern Spain. It is a peaceful and safe area, surrounded by beautiful green landscapes, perfect for nature lovers. The region offers a great balance between countryside living and easy access to the city.

One of the highlights of the area is Somo, a nearby coastal town famous for its beautiful beaches and excellent surfing conditions. If you like the sea and outdoor activities, you will love Somo! There are also plenty of walking and cycling routes around our village, offering great opportunities to enjoy the fresh air and scenic views.

Santander, the capital of Cantabria, is just 20 minutes away by car or a short boat ride on the Pedreñera, a traditional ferry that crosses the bay. Santander is a vibrant and elegant city with a great cultural scene, lovely seaside promenades, excellent restaurants, and historical sites like the Palacio de la Magdalena and the Centro Botín.

If you are interested in learning Spanish, there are language schools in Solares, a town nearby, where you can take classes. Solares is also known for its thermal spa and has a good selection of shops and cafés.

Your Role and Our Expectations
Your main role will be to help take care of Tiago and assist in our daily routine. We want you to feel comfortable and truly part of our family. Our daily life is relaxed but structured, and we believe in good communication. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to talk to us.

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring Au Pair to help take care of Tiago, our 4-year-old son, after school and engage him in fun and educational activities.

Your Main Responsibilities:
Taking care of Tiago after school: Picking him up and spending quality time with him.
Helping him learn English through play: Encouraging him to speak English while playing with Legos, painting, and enjoying creative activities indoors.
Spending time outdoors: Exploring nature, playing outside, and making the most of our beautiful surroundings.
Taking him to extracurricular activities: Accompanying him to classes and sports.
Doing sports together: Engaging in activities such as cycling, running, or other fun outdoor exercises.
We want you to feel like part of the family and enjoy your time here while helping Tiago grow and learn in a fun, interactive way!
