Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair

We are looking for a kind, caring happy person to join our family We live in a pretty, friendly village in the countryside. Our family is fun and noisy! There is myself and my husband Ben, our twin boys Jake and Alex who are 15 and our special daughter Katia. The household also includes 3 friendly dogs.
I am sure you would like to know more about Katia. Katia is 17 and has cerebral palsy and suffers from epilepsy. However she is a happy girl who loves being played with and going for walks. She is in a wheelchair and needs some special care like nappy changing and medicines but we will give full training. We are very happy for you to talk to Petra or myself and ask any questions. .
We have had a carer working with us for 11 years but she now needs to move on so we are experienced in making you feel welcome and settled. Our house is in a quiet location in a small village. You would have your own room and share a bathroom with myself and Ben. We have a lovely big garden which is nice to relax in during the summer. We are near some very beautiful places and go on lots of trips during the summer. London is a 2 hour journey away by train and we can arrange this for you.
The working hours are 7-9.30 and 4-10 during the weekdays and negotiable for the weekends. The salary is more than the usual aupair rate.

I do hope you would like to hear more about us

Best wishes

Helen, Ben, Katia, Jake and Alex
