Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hi! We are a very close family from Canada living in Portugal. The kids are fluent in french and go to an American school. We would like our Aupair to look after the kids (school drop and pick, organising and accompanying to after school activities and sports) and to do it in French so they can continue to practice speaking. During the week when they have some time you will do some french activities with them to continue learning grammar.

You will be as much a PA to me in running the house as you are a nanny to the kids. Strong organisational skills and self motivated are qualities that would suit the job well.

We travel often and you would join us on these trips as a member of the family. But equally we look for someone who is serious in learning from this experience and who will grow to fill any skill gaps that they may not already possess. I have no problem teaching you if you are open to learning as I am also looking forward to learning from you.

You share a very very big bedroom with another girl who does the housekeeping and the two of you share a very nice bathroom. It’s a brand new house so everything is very nice. There is a separator in the room and both sides have double beds to give an idea of the size.
