Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Welcome to Our Family!
Dear [Future Au Pair],
We are so excited to welcome you into our home and to become part of our family! Let us introduce ourselves — we are the Salazar Family. Mohammed is the father, Ingrid is the mother, and together we have a joyful and curious 2½-year-old son named Joseph. Joseph is full of energy, loves to explore, and enjoys spending time outdoors, playing with his toys, and learning new things every day.
As a family, we value warmth, respect, communication, and creating a positive and caring home environment. We are looking forward to sharing our culture and traditions with you, while also learning about yours. We hope that your time with us will feel like being part of an extended family, one that supports and appreciates you.
Our home is located in a friendly and peaceful neighborhood. The city center is about 5 miles away, making it easy to reach for shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. There is also a bus stop nearby, providing convenient transportation options around town or to the city center.
For language learning opportunities, the closest language school is in the city center, just a short bus ride away. We’ll be happy to help you find a suitable course or program if you wish to study while you’re here.
We also have an extra car available for use if needed, so getting around will be even easier and more flexible.
We are truly excited about welcoming you into our daily life and sharing wonderful experiences together. We hope you’ll feel at home, comfortable, and supported as part of our family.
With warm regards,
Mohammed, Ingrid, and Joseph

Au Pair Responsibilities & Skills
Our Au Pair will play an important role in supporting our family and caring for our 2½-year-old son, Joseph. The position includes helping with his daily routine — such as preparing meals, engaging in playtime, reading books, organizing activities, and supporting his development through creative and educational play.
We are looking for someone who is responsible, patient, and caring, with genuine love for children. The ideal Au Pair should be reliable, organized, and able to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. Good communication and a positive attitude are very important to us.
Additional helpful skills include:
Experience with young children or toddlers
Basic cooking skills and willingness to help with light meal prep
First aid knowledge or CPR certification (a plus)
Driving experience, as we have an extra car available for use
Flexibility and willingness to adapt to family routines
Interest in cultural exchange and openness to learning
Our Au Pair will have private space in our home, time to attend language classes, and opportunities to explore the area. We want this to be a positive, enriching experience for both you and our family.
