Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear future Au-Pair,
we would love to give you a short outlook on how we live. We moved into our house located in beautiful nature one year ago. The area is quiet and perfect for hiking or long walks. Although, you have a very little traffic, the city centre is only a ten minute drive away. You can catch a bus at the bus stop (3 minute walk) to get to the train station or city centre. There, you can also find a Language School to learn some German. Solingen is considered a big city with a population of 162.000 residents. Bigger cities with lots of opportunities are a 30 minute car drive away. Whenever we don't need it (most days), you will be able to drive our second car.

Job Description

Our children grow up in a protected environment with a lot of time with their parents. We do not wish to change that, or have someone else raise our children. Your job would be more like a big sister who steps in to play while Jennifer needs to do some work or household duties. You would usually work Mondays - Fridays, having most weekends off. The times depend on the kids' schedule. Sometimes we might ask you to help with the bedtime routine of our children though usually, we like to do that ourselves.

Accommodation

You will be staying in one of our bedrooms. You can exclusively use our guest bathroom (including your own shower) though it needs to be shared with our guests. We have a good Wifi-connection and several subscriptions (Netflix, Amazon Prime...) that you can use. Our family eats a Vegetarian diet. We would love to talk about more details further along in the process.
