We are happy to welcome you to the Family! We’re hoping to have a great time together.

We live in Sosnowiec, a city of about 200,000 residents, located in the Silesia/Zagłębie region – a large post-industrial agglomeration near the regional capital, Katowice (approximately 15 minutes to the city center). Our home is conveniently located, with public bus and tram stops nearby, and a train station not much further away. From the station, you can travel to Kraków (about a 1-hour train ride), Warsaw (about 2.5 hours), Prague (about 6 hours), or Vienna (about 5.5 hours). In our neighborhood, you’ll find shops, malls, and playgrounds. We live in a comfortable house with two bathrooms, four bedrooms, a small garden, a terrace, and a Finnish sauna. Additionally, there are many language schools in our city and the neighboring towns.

The region around Sosnowiec offers many attractions to explore. You can visit the nearby Będzin Castle, a historic fortress dating back to the 14th century, or the Silesian Park in Chorzów, one of the largest urban parks in Europe, featuring a zoo, a planetarium, and an amusement park. The Guido Mine and Coal Mining Museum in Zabrze provides an insight into the region’s industrial heritage, where you can descend underground to experience a former coal mine. For nature lovers, the Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska region, with its limestone cliffs, medieval castles, and hiking trails, is just a short drive away.
