Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello! We are the es. We try to live life to it's fullest and we are always on the go. We love to bake, watch movies together as a family while eating ice cream, go boating on the lake every summer, and we love to travel. We have 5 children ages ranging from 15 to almost 1 year old. And we have all the personalities under the sun. Will, our oldest likes sports and being active and hanging out with friends. Beckham loves math and science and playing the piano- he has gotten trophies for his skills in those areas. Kay Lynn loves dancing and singing to the beat of her own drum, she is our sunshine and always has a smile. Laurie is our sweet and spicy girl. She loves to color, dance, sing, and play pretend. Her spice can be heard throughout the house. Joy is our baby and the caboose of our family. She is sweet, chill, and loves to explore and make messes. Jason (dad) works from home in his office and travels for work once a month. Monica (mom) stays at home with the kids. The kids keep her busy which is why I need an extra set of eyes and hands to help out with all the kids on occasion but the main focus of our au pair is to assist with our 15 year old.

We will have a car for you to drive when needed, but there is also a light rail train and a bus system. The train station is about 1.5 miles away which will take you to the city center of Salt Lake City and to the University of Utah. Driving to Salt Lake City takes about 35 min. We live in South Jordan which is a beautiful city surrounded by very large mountains. We have grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance of our home.

Our au pair must drive. No exceptions. You need to feel comfortable driving on a freeway and on snowy roads around our city. We can teach you how to drive on the snow if needed. Au pair's main responsibility will be supervising our oldest son. He has a busy schedule and is not very good at keeping himself organized. When school gets back in session in August, he will need to be woken up made sure he is taking care of his hygiene, and driven to school. He needs rides to therapy and all his extracurriculars. Picked up from school and reminded to do homework and chores. Will is in the process of finishing up some legal disciplinaries and due to a judge's mandate, must be supervised at all times until he goes to sleep in his room. There is an estimation that he might be done with this by July. Our au pair will need to watch all kids about once a week while Jason and Monica go on a date. We are also taking Beckham on a special trip the beginning of August for a week and will need the au pair to watch the other 4 kids for a week while we are gone. Monica with need supervision of kids on occasion to go to doctor's appointments, etc.
