Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Thank you for your consideration! We are a family of four based in Southampton, NY on Long Island 2-3 hours away from NYC by bus or train. We live in a community on the Peconic Bay with a beach, tennis courts, and ball field. The town center is Southampton Village (12 minutes by car), Bridgehampton (15 minutes), and Sag Harbor (20 minutes).

Job Description

We are looking for an au pair or granny au pair with experience caring for toddlers to join our family and help care for our 3-year-old boy and 1-year-old girl. Some understanding of Montessori or similar pedagogical approach would be welcome. We expect that in addition to childcare, the au pair will help us manage the household by keeping the home tidy, preparing meals, and maintaining grocery lists and runs. Must have experience caring for toddlers, a driver's license, and a clean driving record. Our ideal match will be deeply invested in their development and work with us to maintain a loving, caring, joyful, and nurturing environment. The schedule will be 35 hours including weekday mornings, weekends, and occasional evenings.
