Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello
We are looking for an au pair for our family from June or early July this year as our au pair is returning home.
Elodie and I are looking for someone to join us and make lots of lovely new memories.

You will need pre settled status or a UK passport or have a relevant student Visa or a Youth Mobility Visa (T5) to allow you to enter the UK as an au pair.

We live an a village in the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside our village has a lovely pub (next door but one!) and a small shop/post office. There is also a playground/recreation park. A local bus service gets you in the next village and also to Northampton and Market Harborough.

The next village has the doctors, small supermarket and other small shops. We try to buy our fresh fruit and veg food from the farm shop in one of the villages near by.

It's approx 20 minutes into Northampton which is the nearest town with all it's amenities and where there are English schools. Northampton train station has direct trains to London, Birmingham and Milton Keynes.
20 minutes also gets you to larger supermarkets, the cinema, chain restaurants and bigger shops.

Job Description

Elodie's school is in our village, so you can walk to school and back. I work full time, a mixture of working in the office (40 minutes away) and working from home/out and about. I occasionally need to be away overnight with work..
Mon - Fri; You will need to get Elodie up and ready for school and breakfast. Drop her at school from 08:10 and then clear up/tidy up from breakfast etc.
Collect her from school in the afternoon and get her tea and spend time with her doing her reading and spellings and playing.
2 nights a week you will need to drive her to her tennis or swimming lesson.
I will do bedtime routine, but if I'm away you will need to do bedtime.
Evenings at your leisure, shared cooking.
Occasionally babysitting in the evening/overnight.
In school holidays, you would need to look after Elodie all day during the week at home/out and about. Or take and collect her from various holiday clubs
Hours working per week is circa 15-20
Weekends to yourself. You can be involved in as much or as little of our weekends as you would like.

Some light housework is required and normal household tasks for example emptying the dishwasher. Plus cleaning Elodie's bathroom and bedroom each week. You will be expected to do your own laundry and ideally Elodie's as well. Sometimes also popping to the food shops etc. My main food shopping is delivered.

Given our rural location, you will need to be able to drive. I provide and insure a separate car for you to use to take Elodie places and any chores, and I will provide the petrol. The car is also for you to use in your own time, for which you will need to buy the petrol.

Accommodation

Our house was built c 1750 so has lots of character but still has large rooms and good ceiling height.
Last year I had a lot of work done to extend/renovate.

There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms including your bedroom with en suite, which is in the new part of the house and gives you privacy for your own space.

Downstairs there is a large kitchen/family room as well as a playroom, dining room and sitting room - so plenty of space to relax.
We have an enclosed garden and off road parking
