Welcome Letter to the Au Pair
We have a little 5 year old boy, Axel and a 18 month old baby girl, London. We are looking for a loving person to join our family for a few months. I was an aupair myself, and LOVED the experience. We can't wait to meet you.
Axel goes to school full time, so other than helping us out getting him ready in the morning and playing for a couple of hours in the afternoon, you would be spending most of the time snuggling with our baby =)
We LOVE music in this house. We play multiple instruments, so if you like music, or play...that's a plus!!!
My husband is from Houston, but I grew up in Mexico. We enjoy grilling and hanging out by the pool. On weekends, I like to look for cool things to do around town.
We have a 6 bedroom house, with plenty of space, so you would have your own bedroom and bathroom.
We have 2 music rooms with pianos, drums, guitars, bass, microphones...etc. you are more than welcome to jam with us!... I also have a sewing room, so if you are into arts and crafts, this would be the perfect space =)
Job Description
We will need help in the mornings, getting Axel ready for school, and taking London so I can get ready for work. Our aupair takes her out on a long walk in the morning, then she plays for a while before lunch. After eating, she takes a long nap...that will be free time for you (normally about 2 hours) if Axel is not home.
I would expect you to help me with anything baby-related. (diapers, meal prep, laundry and keeping his play are clean) Major house cleaning is not required, but I would ask you to clean up after yourself, and help out around the house like you would do at your own. (I mostly need help with the kitchen after dinner while I bathe the kids and put them to bed)
We have a pool in the back yard, so swimming is a must. =)
I would definitely need some help during the weekends with my son. Axel is 5 and LOVES to play, so although you will not be required to work all weekend, I would prefer for you to take some time off during the week so you can hang out with him while he is not at school.
