Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello, welcome to the Family! My name is Jaquelin(Father) age 30, my Wife is Drew(Mother) age 29, Surreal(Firstborn) age 4, and (The Twins) Ziggy and Zola age 1. Our children are our pride and joy. They love to explore, are very observant and even more brave. Drew and I both served in the US military, but didn’t get to see to many places during our tours. However, we were able to meet incredible people from all corners of the world, making new friends and sharing in their cultures. Those relationships and experiences had a great impact on us, and we think that by hosting an Au Pair, we can bring some of that same joy and excitement into our home for our children. We want them to learn about your culture and your language as we share ours. On the weekends we can take you around Southern California or you can take time to pamper yourself. There’s so much to do and explore, but sometimes it’s nice to just relax and stay in. The great part is, is that you get to choose! We are approximately 15 miles outside of the city of San Diego, and half a mile from the nearest bus stop, with average temperatures in the 70’s (Fahrenheit) all year! We would love to meet you…À bientôt!

Job Description

We are searching for someone with an energetic personality that loves to play with children, but also knows how to say no to children and enforce boundaries.
We require you to be affectionate, kind, patient, adaptable, obedient, but most importantly, that you love to teach and have fun. We are super excited to learn about you, your culture and language(s). Wor days will primarily be Monday through Friday, though hours may vary day to day. You will keep record of all diaper changes, meals, and injuries. Food and snacks are always available to you, and we expect you to cook/help prepare meals throughout the week for the children. You will also assist mom with her normal duties, which will be pretty easy because your main focus is on the children and their messes, however this will also include: light cleaning, some accompanied trips to the market, children personal hygiene routines, and possibly driving to and from school. We encourage active play, like dancing, swimming, yoga, etc.
