Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hey there!
We are a family of 5 living in a town about 40 miles (65 km) south of Washington DC. Our gated community includes multiple parks, a golf course, stables, and a marina, and is only a mile and a half (2 km) from Stafford Marketplace and it's bus stops.

Job Description

We're looking for someone to keep an eye on the kids whenever Amy and I are both working, or if we're looking for time to ourselves on the weekend. Please help the kids clean up after their messes, and help them with any meals (My oldest likes making food but she occasionally needs an adult to help with the dangerous parts).

If you're willing to help my oldest with homeschooling, that would be lovely but it's not a requirement.

The schedule would vary from month-to-month depending on my wife's class schedule, but we would typically ask for 35 hours of work per week. For example: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, then 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on a Saturday night.

Accommodation

We are offering a 230 square foot (20.5 square meters) bedroom in our finished basement along with a separate kitchen and bathroom with a shower (sorry no tub). Our shared laundry room is also in the basement.

The bedroom has a door that leads outside directly to our driveway, and a nearby exterior door leads to a patio overlooking our small forested hillside. If you would like to provide your own car there's plenty of space to park just outside your door.
