Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear future au pair,

We are thrilled to welcome you into our family and are eager to get to know you better!

We are a lively, hardworking, and fun-loving family with plenty of love and happiness to share. Our home is filled with the joyful sounds of our two delightful boys, who are 10 months and 2.5 years old. They are healthy, bubbly, and outgoing, and we can’t wait for you to become a part of their lives.

Our days are often busy and active, filled with laughter, play, and exploration. We love spending time outdoors, whether it's going for walks, playing in the park, or enjoying family outings. At home, we cherish moments of creativity and fun with the kids, engaging in arts and crafts, reading stories, cooking and playing games together. We also love to travel and often go to various places in Europe and Asia.

We are looking for a nanny or au pair who will join us in creating a warm and nurturing environment for our children. Your role in our family is incredibly important to us, and we value the unique experiences and perspectives you will bring. We hope to support and learn from each other, creating lasting memories along the way.

We believe in open communication and mutual respect, and we are committed to making your time with us enjoyable and fulfilling. We are excited about the opportunity to share our culture with you and to learn about yours as well.

We are fortunate to live in Norway’s most beautiful city; Stavanger. Stavanger is Norway’s oil capital and also one of the most international and culture rich cities in Norway. It offers a wonderful blend of natural beauty and cultural experiences. From stunning fjords and scenic hiking trails to charming cafes and vibrant markets, there’s always something to explore. Stavanger is also known for its rich history and friendly community, making it a great place to live and work. We’re excited for you to experience all that our city has to offer. Both host parents work mainly from home for the time being.

We are looking for an honest, reliable, clean, social and independent new family member who truly loves children and who is interested in getting to know our culture and would like to spend time with us. Cooking skills is a major bonus :-))

Your contribution as part of our family will mainly be to assist with the children and do light house work. Our children attend nursery during the day from 8-9 am-ca 3pm. Light house work means helping with cooking mainly, cleaning kitchen surfaces after meals, load and unload dishwasher, occasional vacuuming/folding clothes etc. We have robot cleaners for our floors.
