Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello future Au Pair!

We are the family and we live in a town called Stenhousemuir in Falkirk (the home of the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies!) district in Central Scotland. Our house is a 5 minute drive from Larbert train station, where you can get direct trains to Stirling, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen.

In Stirling (which is a 7-minute train journey away) there is a language school where you can attend English classes. Misha is also a qualified English language teacher (currently doing her Masters in TESOL part-time at the University of Stirling) and would be more than happy to give you English lessons at home.

Job Description

We are looking for help over the summer months looking after Kayden as Misha will be writing up her Master's dissertation and Ramsay will be working full-time.

Working hours will be no more than 30 hours a week and duties will include looking after Kayden (and perhaps taking him out to the local library, any kids classes that are on over the summer) and providing him with meals throughout the day. He will spend 1 or 2 days a week with his grandparents in Glasgow and Misha's mum lives in the same street and she will take him for a couple of afternoons a week to give you some time to yourself.

We are hoping that you would be able to move in before summer (in April/May), to give Kayden some time to get used to spending time with you without his parents.

Accommodation

You would have a bedroom to yourself, with a double bed (which has 2 drawers), 2 bedside tables, bookcase and desk. We currently don't have a cupboard in our guest room but can get one if neccessary.

The bathroom will be shared with the family.
