Hello,

We are so excited to welcome you to our family! Let us introduce ourselves: we are a family of three, consisting of my husband, Jibbe, myself, Isabel, and our sweet 14-month-old daughter, Freya. Jibbe is Dutch, and I have Swedish and Iranian roots, making our home a vibrant blend of cultures.

Our home is located in the beautiful Norrmalm/Östermalm area in Stockholm. However, you will have your own private room in a larger villa in Täby, a lovely and peaceful neighborhood in Sweden. The Täby residence offers a comfortable and relaxing environment, surrounded by greenery and located in a safe and friendly area. The villa is partially rented out as an Airbnb and occasionally has other tenants living in the house. Part of your responsibilities will include helping with cleaning and maintaining the Täby villa from time to time.

Your primary role will be to assist with Freya’s daily schedule. She spends most of her time at preschool, so your main tasks will involve picking her up and dropping her off in the mornings and afternoons, and staying with her for a short period in the evenings (feeding her and playing) until we return home from work. Because Freya is at preschool for the majority of the day, you will have significant free time during this period to explore, rest, or attend language school.

Most weekends will also be free, and we’ll only occasionally need your help for a few hours on weekends.

We believe this schedule will give you plenty of time to relax and enjoy your experience in Sweden while also building a meaningful connection with our family.

As a family, we love spending time together and enjoy activities such as cooking, exploring nature, and trying new foods. Freya is a curious and lively toddler who enjoys playing and learning new things every day. We’re sure you’ll have a wonderful time with her!

Job Details

As our Au Pair, your primary responsibilities will involve assisting with our 14-month-old daughter Freya’s daily routine. These include:

Dropping Freya off at preschool in the morning and picking her up in the afternoon.
Staying with her for a short time in the evenings until we return home from work, which includes feeding her and playing with her.
Occasionally helping for a few hours on weekends, but most weekends will be free.
Freya spends most of her day at preschool, so you will have significant free time during weekdays to rest, explore, or attend language school. From time to time, you will also help with light cleaning and maintenance of the Täby residence, which is occasionally rented out as an Airbnb and shared with other tenants.

We are looking for an Au Pair who is responsible, kind, and enjoys spending time with young children. Having some prior childcare experience would be a great advantage. Additionally, you should be organized, flexible, and able to work independently. A basic understanding of English is essential. You are very welcome to speak in your mother tongue with Freya, we would be happy for her to pick up an extra language.

While you will not have a private bathroom, the shared facilities are well-maintained (three bathrooms available). The house is equipped with Wi-Fi, so you will always have access to the internet.
