Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear au pair,

We are so excited to welcome you to our family!

We are a middle-class, hardworking family living in a beautiful home in Bramhall, which is a very sought-after place to live in Cheshire. We have four children who are well-behaved, lively, and full of energy — we’re sure you’ll never be bored!

Our home offers you your own space with a spare attic room that has its own adjoining bathroom, ensuring you’ll have comfort and privacy during your stay.

Bramhall is a charming village surrounded by nature and only a short distance from the stunning Peak District, perfect if you enjoy the outdoors. Locally, you’ll find a good selection of restaurants, bars, and several gyms if you like to keep active.

The train station is just a short walk away and provides easy connections into Manchester city centre, giving you access to all the excitement of the city. We’re also close to Wilmslow, another lovely and popular nearby town.

For language learning, there are several language schools in Manchester and Wilmslow that you can explore, and we’re happy to help you find the right one for you.

Our street is quiet and friendly, and we’re sure you’ll quickly feel at home here. We can’t wait to meet you and are looking forward to sharing our home and family life with you!

Warm regards,
The Goode family

Job Description

We are looking for an extra pair of hands to help with the children, particularly around nursery drop-off and pick-up times. It would also be very helpful to have another responsible adult in the house when we both need to be away — for example, when Dominic has meetings and Stephanie is working.

The au pair should be able to drive confidently. It would be wonderful if they are active and enjoy accompanying the children to the park, taking them swimming from time to time, and generally joining in with fun activities.

Other tasks include helping to bathe the children, reading with them, preparing simple lunches, assisting them with dressing and getting ready for bed, and helping to keep their clothes tidy and put away in their wardrobes.

We’re looking for someone warm, energetic, fun and reliable — someone who will become a positive and caring part of our family life.
