Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello, I am a full time working mum with 2 daughters. We live in a new 4 bedroomed house in a town called Hazel Grove, which is just outside Stockport. Although Stockport is a busy town, we are very close to the Peak District and our neighbouring towns such as Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme are beautiful and scenic. Manchester is a 30 minute train ride away where you can find language schools and several universities. In Stockport itself there is a college providing Language and other courses. Manchester is a very vibrant city and considered to be one of the best cities in the U.K. It is also multicultural and diverse.

Job Description

The job would involve collecting the girls from school Monday to Friday (and possibly another day during the week) taking care of them until I arrive home at 9pm. There will be some housework duties involved but I am keen to involve the girls in this as they grow up. The girls love cooking and although I am a vegetarian, they eat anything and I like them to eat as healthy as possible. At the moment I tend to batch cook at weekends but the successful au pair will need to prepare dinner for the girls Mondays and Fridays. I work most Saturdays during the day and the au pair would need to ensure their homework is completed. I like to go out some Saturday evenings, so the majority of the working hours for the au pair would be on Saturdays. Sundays are a family day and I like to spend as much time with the girls as possible, the au pair would be welcome to join us or have a day to themselves.

Accommodation

Our house is spacious and new, we have 2 reception rooms and 4 bedrooms. The family bathroom has a shower over bath and I have my own en suite so there is plenty of space to get ready in the mornings. The au pair's room is small but south facing so it's very bright. It has a bed and a wardrobe with drawers. There is a TV point. We have a small lawn to the rear and the estate itself is private and safe with lots of families, the developers are still building houses but once it's finished there will be a children's park area.
