Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello!

How are you? Do you enjoy being around older children/teenagers? Dogs? Have experience or an interest in working with children/teenagers with disabilities? If so we could be the family for you!

Friendly, relaxed, yet busy family looking for an aupair to join us and to help us with the day to day running of our home, support our nanny with the care of teenage daughter if needed ( who has learning difficulties and autism) and to do activities with our other daughter who is 12 years old. We require someone who can come Aug/Sept and ideally stay at least 4 months although ideally longer.

We would like someone who is comfortable around children/young people with special needs or who is interested in knowing more about disabilities/autism and also someone who is happy being a ‘ big sister’ to a 12 year old who is in to fitness, music, net flix, hair & nails! Someone who can help her with her homework and help her learn Spanish a bonus!

In addition to our daughters, our family consists of our 24 year old son, as well as our 3 beautiful bouncy boxer dogs.

We live in a large house in stunning countryside ( opposite the famous Weston park!), that has bus routes within walkable distance and the local town within 7 miles. The local city is less than an hour away by bus and has language classes starting in September. Birmingham is also a 40 minute train journey from our local train station. .

We love to spend time at home having BBQs, watching movies, playing games etc. When we go out we love to go camping, go on holidays, go bowling, visit the cinema, eat out and walk the dogs.

We’d love someone who could stay long term ( 12 months+ but would be ok with shorter term 4+ Month stays also).

Please note we can only accommodate someone who is a EU citizen or can gain a legal visa to be an aupair in the UK.

Job Description

Mature, tidy, calm & patient female aupair wanted to join our family. Must have a ‘muck in’ attitude and be willing to help with all aspects of house and family life.

We need someone who is willing to be a ‘big sister’ to both girls (even if you are a similar age to our eldest daughter as despite her age she is like a young child). This may include taking one or both on activities ( with support if eldest daughter) - sports, youth club or disco or engage in music, pampering or creative activities at home.

We are happy for someone to spend their free time with us or understand you may want to do your own things in your free time - either is fine with us.

We will support with the fees for language classes
