Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello!

I’m a single mom of four kids and work as an emergency physician. Because of this, I work shifts including overnights and need someone who can be home with my kids when I’m at work.

We live in beautiful Stratford, Prince Edward Island, in a house right on the waterfront. The sunsets here are incredible.

Charlottetown is right across the water and is the largest city in the province. So much culture, art, and food there.

PEI is a fairly safe, quiet place. The beaches in the summer are incredible; people come from all over the world to enjoy our beautiful summers on the Island.

Job Description

Expectation would be to be with the kids while I’m at work. I work overnights often and will need someone who can put kids to bed and get them on the schoolboys in the morning with their lunch for the day (my shift ends after they need to be at school) and be home when Maisie gets home from school
- be with the kids when they have mild illness and can’t go to school/daycare
- tidy up behind the kids during the day when you’re with them
- make supper if I’m working in the evening and breakfast if I’m out in the morning
- drop Rhys off at daycare and pick him up (if I’m not home)
- sometimes I will need you to watch them when I sleep after a shift
- put the dog out
- feed dog and cats

I work 15 emergency shifts per month so it’s not significantly full time.
