Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Welcome!
We’re a warm and friendly family currently preparing to move back to Stuttgart, Germany, and we’re excited to connect with someone who will become part of our household. While we’re still in the early stages and gauging interest, we’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic individual to help us make this transition smooth for everyone — especially our two energetic boys, aged 4 and 12.

We will be living in a well-connected area of Stuttgart, with a train station within easy walking distance. This gives you access to the city center, shopping, cafés, and cultural experiences in just a few minutes. While we’re still confirming details, we expect there to be language schools nearby and plenty of opportunities to explore German culture, as well as practice English, Spanish, or Japanese — all spoken in our home.

We look forward to welcoming someone who is responsible, kind, and flexible. You’ll have access to WiFi and your own space to relax when off-duty, with more details on accommodations coming soon. We love to travel and go camping as a family, and we’d love to share those experiences with someone who’s open to adventure and becoming part of our little team.

Job Description

The main responsibilities will include childcare for our two sons, light housework, and generally assisting mom with day-to-day routines. Our ideal candidate is someone kind, proactive, and patient — someone who understands the lively nature of children and can provide a calm, positive presence.

We do not require driving, and while first aid experience is a bonus (especially with two adventurous boys), it’s not essential. We expect between 20–40 hours of help per week, with some flexibility based on your schedule and our needs. Fluency in English is important, and we’re open to sharing our multicultural lifestyle with you.

Accommodation

Final details about the accommodation are still being worked out, but rest assured you’ll have your own private space to unwind. WiFi will be available, and we’re exploring the option of providing a private bathroom depending on the layout of our new home.
