Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair

Halo von California! We are a family of four looking for a sweet Au Pair to take care of our two children during summer break. We are a German/English speaking family and could use your help in keeping our children up to date with German specifically. We currently live in the heart of Silicon Valley where the tech giants are including but not limited to google and apple. Our home is in the suburbs surrounded by top schools in the States. City of San Francisco is only 45min drive or so away, 20-40 min away from famous beaches, and beautiful nature like the Yosemite a few hours drive.

Job Description

Our needs at this time generally includes taking care of two children from June 2025 to mid August 2025 helping the children with their routine, feeding them, going out on outings, general tiding up and speaking to them in German. Of course German is encouraged for the children but out side of the expected hours we as a family speak English together. Roughly expected hours are around 35-40 hrs a week but the evenings and weekends you are free. Room and board as well as food will be provided for you as well as monthly pocket money. If you are able to drive, we can also arrange things so that you're able to go on excursions (museums and beaches) with the children as well as take them to extra activities such as club meetings etc.
