Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Hello,

We are a young family with 2 working parents and a little 3 year old boy. We are expecting another boy in April 2025. We have two well behaved large dogs and live in a house on the Dorset coast. Our location is quite rural but there is a great community here. The nearest larger city is Poole (30 minutes) or Bournemouth (50 minutes). There is a train to London that is direct.

I am a pilot but will be on maternity leave until August 2025. My husband is a contractor and works abroad every other month. He is a very proactive Dad and so you would have opportunity to travel when he is home if you wanted to.

I had au pairs as a child and they very much became part of our family. We are still in touch now. I have also been a nanny myself, so I know what it is like from your side. We would want to support you with your goals also.

Job Description

3 year old care
Pick up and drop off to nursery, clubs and activities.
Light housework. Helping our son to clean up after himself. We try to encourage him to make his own bed, put his own dishes away and put on his own laundry.
Bathtime, stories, playing and bedtime. Mostly we want someone active who is happy to play with him.
