Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear future Au pair,

Thank you for your interest in joining our family, my name is Roy, and my wife is Beck, and together we trying to raise 3 wonderful children. Zachary is 7, Ezra is 5 and Neve is about to turn 4. We are an active, healthy family who love the outdoors and keeping busy. Our household is loud and fun, organised and chaotic at the same time. The children are creative, energetic, and enjoy learning new things (new languages and cuisines have been a great bonus that our international au pairs bring to our family!).

We welcome all our au pairs into our family as one of us, and consider ourselves an experienced host family. Hopefully we can connect. You can also find us at https://www.aupairworld.com/en/aupair_detail?a=4900197.

Thank you for your time and consideration, we look forward to getting to know you better!

Job Description

The role we are offering involves making lunches for the kids, dinner for yourself and the family, school drop off/pick up, grocery shopping one day a week. We pay $400/week.

A typical day looks like:
7:30 breakfast / make lunches / brush teeth / get dressed
8:30 off to school, either by bike, scooter, walk or car if it’s raining
After that our au pair might take Neve to the library or a playground or both. Generally she will do the grocery shopping on a Tuesday. If the weather is good she might stay out all day, taking Neve’s bike to the skate park or going for a picnic at the national park, or even the beach! She’s even taken the train into the city to walk around the botanical gardens or into daring harbour. So really anything you want to do you can. It’s an opportunity to get out and explore Sydney during those hours!
3pm - school pick up
5/5:30pm - eat dinner (our current au pair has a good routine of preparing the dinner early in the day, so that when she returns in the afternoon, it does not take long to cook the dinner), and we all sit down together for dinner.

Accommodation

The house that we live in has 2 levels. The top level is the main level, and this is where we live. The lower level has 2 rooms, including a large bedroom that has plenty of storage, and there is a bathroom for the au pair to use to herself. The other room on the lower level is a kids playroom.
We also have a pool, so come summer we are always using that!!
