Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Granny Au Pair,

My name is Yannis and my wife is Lily and our two 18 month old twin boys Theodoros and Theofanis.

We would like to welcome you to our home and be part of it if possible to share the challenges of our daily lives raising our boys for the time you can offer us.

We live in Thessaloniki which is a city of one million people by the sea and is second largest in Greece with major port and airport. The city center is about half an hour by bus from our home and there are very near by, language schools only 10 minutes away as well as major clinics, super markets, and parks.

Job Description

We are applying for a granny au pair believing that experience is a must with raising Theofani and Theodoros being both boys at this age is challenging with their needs and wants.

If there is Montessori knowledge is really great if not experience brought in from your children and grandchildren will do. Furthermore we believe that bilingual raising is important for their development as I myself had this kind of upbringing so speaking to them in English is very important. Also help around the house is needed and appreciated.

Lily will go back to work in late of August after her maternity leave so we need help in the morning around 8 am with feeding bottled milk and then play and clean after them dress them etc then prepare and feed them again fruits around 10:30 and play again etc. Around 12 to 12:30 they will take a nap until 14:00 or so where you can also take a brake. Cooking cleaning, laundry etc when is possible. Around 14:30 to 15:00 they have lunch and need to be fed. Then play etc and around 16:00 Lily comes home and I go to work. Lilly will take over once she arrives but will still need your help around 7:00 for bathing them and preparing the milk bottles.

Accommodation

We live in a four level house total of about 400 sq.m. of our own with a garden front and back in the suburbs of Thessaloniki which is about half an hour from the center by bus. We have a wonderful panoramic view of the city from all levels of our house.

We offer a small separate studio within our home for you to live in with all amenities own shower and bathroom, kitchen, washing machine and dishwasher, tv, air condition and heater.

In the summer we go to our summer house in Halkidiki in Sithonia which is one of the best summer destinations in Greece.
Our summer house is about and hour and a half drive from our house in Thessaloniki by the sea only 50 m from the beach.
