Welcome Letter to the Au Pair
Hello! We are thrilled at the prospect of welcoming you into our family and embarking on this exciting adventure together in Italy! We are a warm and loving family, and we're eager to offer you the experience you are looking for while you help us with our children and share in the wonders of our beautiful country.
Let us introduce ourselves: Chiara (mum) and Mattia (dad), along with our two adorable boys, Leonardo (3 years old) and Giovanni (1 year old). We started hosting au pairs a few months ago and have cherished every moment of this enriching experience. We are currently searching for a caring and responsible individual to join our family starting in January 2024.
Our Living Situation:
We reside in a charming countryside home not far from the city of Treviso, which is conveniently connected by a 15-minute bus ride. We are also in close proximity to Venice (30 minutes by train), making it a perfect location for art and museum enthusiasts. Additionally, our home is near the beach in Jesolo and the picturesque mountains. Treviso itself is a vibrant city with a lively cultural scene, including music events, theatres, and festivals. Furthermore, we often venture to other cities like Verona, Florence, Milan, and Trento, making exploring Italy an integral part of our lives.
Job Description
We are looking for an au pair who ideally has prior experience with children. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with Leo and Gio during specific hours throughout the week. We have structured our schedule as follows:
Mondays/Tuesdays/Wednesdays: 10 am-12 pm and 2 pm-6 pm
Thursdays: 3 pm-6 pm and 8:30 pm-9:30 pm
Fridays: 10 am-12 pm and 4 pm-7 pm
Weekends: Free, with the opportunity to earn extra money through additional hours.
During your time with our family, we encourage you to converse with the children in English or your native language to help them become familiar with the language's sounds.
Cultural and Language Exchange: Being a language tutor, I can assist you in learning Italian as part of our cultural exchange. We believe that learning each other's languages will strengthen our bond and create a richer experience for everyone.
Additional Expectations:
Apart from childcare, we may ask for your assistance with light chores, such as hoovering and tidying up. In return for your valuable help, we offer a monthly pocket money of €320.
