Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Welcome to our family!

We are an Italian family made up of myself, Paola (35 years old), my husband Giovanni (38 years old), our adorable son Ettore, who is 2 and a half, and... soon, a new arrival in the family! We are expecting our second child in May and are excited to welcome an au pair to join us on this new adventure.

We are a close, cheerful, and sociable family. We love spending time together, enjoying good company, and creating new memories. Giovanni and I lived abroad for several years, and now that we are back in Italy, we miss the cultural diversity that comes with meeting people from other countries. We’d love to share our lives with a curious and open person who wants to discover Italian traditions.

We live in a small city in the north east of Italy, but during the summer, we move to our seaside home. During this time, we enjoy relaxing at the beach as well as taking refreshing walks in the mountains. We are passionate about good food – like many Italians – and enjoy exploring new flavors. We’re not particularly sporty, but we do love traveling and discovering enriching experiences.

Ettore, our eldest, is a loving little companion: sweet, curious, and very bright. He loves to play, explore, and interact with new people. With your help, we would like him to start learning English naturally and in a fun way.

Job Description

We are looking for an au pair who:

- Speaks English (we would like Ettore to learn the language naturally through play and conversation).
- Can swim, as we spend a lot of time at the beach during the summer.
- Is patient, kind, and proactive, with a genuine love for children.

Your main responsibility will be to spend time with Ettore: playing with him, engaging him in creative activities, and helping him become familiar with English. During the summer, we would love for you to take him to the beach to play and have fun. Your support will be especially valuable for me, as we’ll soon be welcoming a new baby into the family!
