What are the conditions for our au pair?
We live in the countryside. You need a driving license and driving experience.
The area does not have enough public transport, but you can use our family car. In total, we have three cars available, one of which is almost always available. We rarely go out, especially in the evening when the children are in bed, and it is no problem to borrow a car for the language course in the city or for going out on the weekend. You do not have to pay anything to use the car. However, we expect you to help us clean the car from time to time and also to refill the tank yourself from time to time. You can also use our bicycles and the electric bike in the warm season, when it is still light enough in the evenings.

Do you have a private room?
If, in the two houses, your own room tends where you can leave it during your breaks. The room can be kept safe and secure for children who do not have to take breaks during their breaks and have a respect for their privacy.

Cuantas horas debo trabajar?

¿Whether you are in your house?
Nosotros somos muy abiertos a other culturas yWe remain flexible with a youthful spirit. We had to set a few rules based on experiences we had in the past years:

1. Cell phones are not used during work hours or at the table. Meals are family bonding and we try to talk. When taking care of the children, cell phones are not used either. Cell phone use with the Au Pairs we had in the past was a problem. It started with "Only play music to fold laundry." But very soon the cell phone became so distracting that a lot of time was wasted with texts, calls, news and the work was not done well. Generally our children are young and do not need any kind of screen at this age. They do not watch movies or play video games yet. Instead we tell them stories from children's books. Instead of playing music, we teach them how they can sing and we sing and dance with them.
Of course there are exceptions with the media, such as a video call to your family, where the children want to participate to get to know your relatives and they get to know us.

2. The family's schedule is respected. When the children go to bed in the afternoon (which is earlier in northern European countries than in the Mediterranean) the house is kept quiet. We had the experience of an Aupair making calls at midnight and keeping the house awake, she went down at 1 in the morning to cook dinner and at 2 in the morning she woke everyone up preparing the bath until 3 in the morning... She had to leave us after the trial month, because we did not have the quiet nights we needed.

3. We do not want you to bring people to the house without asking us or to bring strangers when we are not at home. For the protection of the children and our privacy, we do not want our address to be made public with your new friends from outings etc. That is why we do not want you to let people we do not know or that you have just met take you home after going out on the weekends. Of course you can always introduce us to a friend or a boyfriend and after getting to know him it's a different story.
We had the experience of an Au Pair having three lovers at the same time and during our vacation she invited one of them to our house without asking us. We found out from the neighbors. This from our perspective is disrespectful and also dangerous for everyone. This Au Pair left us after we found out from the neighbors.

4. We have no desire for our second birthday. We parents want to know, or want and like many desires, the children come.
