Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair
We are a family of three. Hannah, your youngest member, was born in 2018, Ann-Katrin (German) and Christian (Austrian) were born in 1981. We have been based in Switzerland since 2010, in the middle of German-speaking Switzerland. We live in a rural area, a small village with 1400 inhabitants. Thanks to the excellent public transportation in Switzerland, you can reach Zofingen (15'-20') or Aarau (20'-30') three times an hour. There you can attend a language school, which we will reimburse you for. The working hours for au pairs in Switzerland are highly regulated and limited to 30-35 hours per week, not more than 6 hours per day.

We have a house with a beautiful garden on a dead end street, which reduces traffic tremendously. Your room with a large window is in our basement with a separate bathroom. When we have guests staying overnight, the bathroom is shared with our guests. But this should not be a big problem as we have enough space available.

Job Description

Taking care of Hannah, cooking meals for her and yourself, light chores like vacuuming after breakfast, washing dishes, cleaning out the dishwasher or grocery shopping with Hannah. You will take care of your own room and bathroom. Working days are Monday - Friday, weekends are free.
