Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

I’m Cassandra, a single mom and business owner, and I’m looking for a caring and responsible au pair to join my little family as we move to Spain or Portugal in July. My 3-year-old son, Jude, is a fun, energetic, and curious little guy who loves to swim, play, and learn. We’re an adventurous family that enjoys traveling, cooking, dancing, and spending time outdoors—especially at the beach!
About the Position
Nationality: American
Start Date: Beginning-End of July for 6 month-24 month contract
Location: Valencia, Spain or Porto, Portugal (we’ll be in a downtown Airbnb for the first month before finding a long-term rental in the city)
Schedule: Around 30 hours per week.
Stipend: €300/month
Flight Paid: I’ll cover your ticket here and back home at the end of your contract
Room & Board: You’ll have your own room (likely a twin bed at first), full access to food, and a transportation pass (bus or train)
Extras: Possibility of joining us for travel around Europe & Africa!
What We’re Looking For
Someone caring, calm, and responsible
A good swimmer (Jude will spend lots of time at the beach!)
Comfortable helping with letters, numbers, and educational activities (I’ll provide ideas and supplies!)
Open to teaching Jude another language
Communicative and independent
Comfortable with a dog
