Welcome Letter to the Au Pair
Our family lives in a beautiful island near Seattle, Washington known as Vashon Island. There is an adorable town on the Island and plenty of families, neighbors and friends to get to know. There are beaches, wooded hiking trails and lots of organic vegetable farms and farms with horses and sheep within minutes of our house. We have a large vegetable garden and six goofy chickens. There are delicious restaurants, cute little shops in town and usually a collection of other au pairs on the Island. It takes anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes to get to downtown Seattle, either by boat, or a combination of boat and bus /car. You would have access to one of our cars.
Job Description
The job expectations are likely pretty similar to other au pair jobs. These expectations include:
- feed Aria breakfast in the morning
- take Aria to preschool and pick her up (while she is at preschool, you would be off)
- facilitate nap time
- do educational activities with Aria in after nap, such as reading books, puzzles, dancing to music, taking walks outside, exploring nature, artwork, etc.
- preparing Aria's dinner
- helping Aria clean up her toys
- helping with clean up in the kitchen
- doing Aria's laundry weekly
