Welcome Letter to the Au Pair

Dear Au Pair

I hope you are doing well. We would be delighted to learn that you have the profile to be our new Au Pair as of August/September 2025 !

We live in the city center of Versailles (a city well known for its castle), next to Paris

It is an historical, very nice and very calm city. We have every day people coming from all over the world to visit the city.

We are located in an exclusive part of the city, very calm but with everything in the city center within a 5-15 min walk (incl school and kindergarten).

There is a 150hectares parc within 10min walk (the parc of the castle, with free entrance).

The town is located near Paris (20-30 minutes away with train)

For the weekends, we like going out of Paris to Normandy and Loire region

We are used to having Au pairs. And the children have a very good relationship with them.

Job Description

The Au pair will help us to prepare the children and bring them to school (same school, 10 minutes away from home) in the morning ; and in the afternoon she will bring them back home, prepare and give their dinner and other related activities (incl bath).

The Au Pair is NOT expected to clean the house or do the ironing for the family. Still she will take part to all the usual tasks related to the kids (incl supporting them to have them clean their room) and to a normal life of the family, as would a daughter at home do.

We have part of our working hours in « work at home » and are happy to give a hand every time we can.

The Au pair is invited to have French courses (with other Au Pair) at a special course at university (15min walk) compatible with her role.

The Au pair is usually able to have her weekends (provided she works more on Wednesday when the children are not at school)

The Au pair can use the bicycles that we have whenever she wants.

Accommodation

The Au pair has her own room (on a garden, South oriented, very calm). One of the two bathrooms is just next to her door. She is entitled to have her breakfast/lunch/dinner with or without us. We are always happy to welcome them when they decide to eat with us.
