Work abroad in Lydia's family for 6-10 Months starting from Aug 2024 as an Au Pair to take care of 2 children of 1 - 5 years old & 6 - 10 years old in Vienna, Vienna Austria

Most of the days during the week you would have to pick the kids up from kindergarten/ school and spend some quality time with them afterwards playing, or bring them to their different afternoon-activities/ practice.
On days I am working late, it would also be great if you could make some dinner. Nothing special, just to feed the hungry mouths on time. As my husband and I like to do some sports together, on weekends it would be great if you could entertain the kids as well a couple of hours, while we are away. Most likely it will only be one day of the weekend and we will for sure find a solution if you want to travel occasionally on some weekends.
It would also be great if you could join us sometimes on our weekend/holiday-trips to Gastein, so we don‘t always have to be in a hurry to pick the kids up from Skischool.

We are a very active and sporty family. We rearly go by car or public transport-although it‘s pretty good actually in Vienna. Most of the time we are taking the bike and we are searching for someone who is willing and able to do this as well because that‘s also how our kids get to and from school and kindergarten all year round. It‘s for both +/- 5 km in one direction.

Especially during winter, on most weekends we go to Gastein in Salzburg. It‘s great for hiking, climbing, mountainbiking and swimming in summer and in winter of course skiing.

We have already had three native english speaking au-pairs so the kids understand and talk English. We want them to further improve on their English-language skills, so it’s necessary that you are an English native speaker or at least speak English fluently.

We have a cleaninglady, so you don‘t have to clean the house. But it’s appreciated, if you help keep the house nice and tidy - especially after playing with the kids or cooking.

Altogether we would need you for the kids approximately 20-22 hours per week from Monday to Sunday. You will have at least one to two days off per week and occasionally more days in a row so you can travel a bit further if you like to do so.

Our kids are really easy and lovely and outgoing. They need some time to get warm with new people, but if you are passionate for your work with children, they will get attached to you really fast. If you have a blast with our kids, I‘m absolutely sure you will have a good time with us as a family. We would rather search for someone who really wants to be part of our family and not someone who only sees this opportunity as a job.
