Job Description

We are keen to experience what is it to host an au pair not because we want a worker, but because we would like to welcome an extra member for the family who can teach another culture to us, speak English to the kids and at the same time contribute with an extra pair of hands.

You’ll never be alone with the 4 kids. If we need you to be with the kids by yourself it is going to be 1 or 2 or there is going to be another adult with you!

Your Main Responsibilities:  
- Assisting with the morning routines.  
- Taking the kids to and picking them up from school.  
- Helping the grandparents with lunchtime (you won’t have to cook).  
- Occasionally joining us for an afternoon at the park.  
- Light household duties related to the kids like tiding up the playroom or helping with the kids clothes. Both families have cleaning staff so you won't have to be cleaning after them!
- Once a week you'll be required to be with the kids (with grannies help) in the afternoon as we (the three of us) want to have time for ourselves.

Accommodation

We live in a big house (almost 700 square meters) which consists in two separate homes with 2 living rooms, kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room and playroom each. We share the study room that you can use if you need so. We also have a yard.

The house is big enough you will have not only your own bedroom with a queen size bed (and a big wardrobe) and your private bathroom but you will also have a living room for yourself. Although we would be more than happy if you want to spend time with us in the living room we use the most as we like to watch a movie or a serie at night when the kids are already sleeping.

We live in the amazing Mallorca which is worldwide known for its stunning nature and beaches and for having more than 300 sunny days per year (so here doesn’t rain a lot). The weather is hot is summer (19-35 celsius degrees) and warm in winter (5-18 celsius degrees).

Our home town is 3800 inhabitants so everything is to a walking distance (you’ll also dispose of a bike if you like to). It is a small town so we most know each other and everybody takes care of others.
There are 2 gyms plus a sports centre, two parks, a theatre, library and lots of fairs! There are also supermarkets, a school and a health center.
The town is at the foot of a little mountain so there are a lots of places to go for walks surrounded by nature.

We live by the bus stop 5’-10’ from Manacor, a small city where we spend a lot of time. There are shops, more variety of coffees, restaurants, a cinema and Rafa Nadal Sports Centre (where the twins go swimming). The RNSC offers a wide range of activities like a covered swimming pool, a gym, tennis and paddle lessons, a spa… and there is a big international community who goes there to train and hang around. It also have an immersive museum that is worth the visit!

You can also go to Palma (25’-45’ minutes by bus depending on the route) which is the capital city of the Balearic Islands. It is a very beautiful city with lots of places to visit like “la seu”, el Parc de la Mar” or “el castillo de Bellver”, shopping facilities and a vibrant night live.

You can find language academies both in Manacor or Palma as we know you may be interested in studying spanish.
